Creating a more socially just Capital Region is essential to helping every family succeed and will help reduce local poverty. All of our work is focused on: Seeking Equity in Education, Making Social Justice Investments in Families, Creating Meaningful Partnerships and Building capacity in undervalued communities
United Way's mission is more important than ever.
The pandemic has weakened communities and exacerbated injustices. When it comes to healing our region, many people have no idea where to start.
United Way Starts as Square One
Creating stronger, healthier, more compassionate communities starts at Square One: Helping every family succeed so their community can too. Families know what they need to thrive. We are their partners on that path, connecting them with resources to achieve their goals.
We are now working on an even larger scale to help families heal and meet our 20-year promise to end poverty in the Capital Region. We are laying solid steppingstones on our path to help every family thrive and build a healthy community by:
Building Capacity in Undervalued Communities
