| United Way serving Howard and Tipton Counties is a local independent, not-for-profit organization. We believe in the transforming power of compassion and cooperation. The United Way of Howard County provides the leadership necessary to identify and respond effectively to the community's most pressing needs. Through funding and advocacy, we organize and increase the capacity of people to care for one another.
United Way of Howard County is operated by staff that promotes volunteerism, raises funds to address important human issues and ensures money is used in the most efficient manner possible. United Way volunteers research the needs of our community, inform the community of those needs and make sure United Way dollars are distributed to programs that best address those issues in Howard County.
