Mobilizing people to give, advocate and volunteer, creating opportunities for a good life for all! Heart of Kentucky United Way provides Community Improvement and Capacity Builidng to make our communities --  Boyle, Casey, Garrard, Lincoln, Mercer and surrounding counties in Central Kentucky -- stronger, and help local residents achieve the building blocks of a good life - Education, Health and Income.  

Our activities promote philanthropy, voluntarism and community investment in programs that positively impact the lives of individuals and families in Boyle, Casey, Garrard, Lincoln, Mercer and Washington counties as well as surrounding counties in Central Kentucky. Donating to  Heart of Kentucky United Way ensures that your gift will have the most impact in your community where you live and where you work.  By combining your gift with thousands of others, Heart of Kentucky United Way is able to achieve long term change in improving people's lives.

Heart of Kentucky United Way collaborates with 36 community partner agencies that deliver programs and services focusing on: EDUCATION - Helping children and youth acheve their potential by focusing on the "whole" child, soft skills and job skills;        

INCOME - Helping families become financially stable and independent with the 5 Building Blocks of Financial stability -- family sustaining employment, affordable housing, income supports, manageable expenses and budgeting skills, savings & assets;

HEALTH - Improving people's physical and mental, education that supports making healthy choices, reducing at-risk behaviors, and increasing access to health care for the uninsured and under-insured;

Basic EMERGENCY / CRISIS services - Helping residents in our communities meet basic needs of safety, shelter, and food.  We work with multiple non-agency organizations throughout our communities -- Chambers of Commerce, Community Garden Partners, local colleges, Boyle Co. Economic Development Partnerships in Workforce Development efforts and others, so that collectively we make our communities better for all.
