United Way of Greater Fall River's (UWGFR) primary goal is to create lasting change in the community through the collaborative efforts of individuals, business folks and corporate entities who volunteer and advocate for identification and resolution of the most pressing issues facing our society. By uniting all segments of the community through a well-developed communications program and fundraising campaign, we promote and encourage the collective role of all constituents in the funding of health and human services within the community. Through a united effort to deal with the human care problems that adversely affect the local population, our focus on health, education and financial literacy aims at prevention problems from occurring and providing sustainable solutions. In addition, by holding agencies accountable with high performance standards both individually and collectively, and evaluating their effectiveness, we help to prevent waste and duplication of effort.
