| United Way of Williamson County, Texas fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every Williamson County community. As the only United Way in the world focused 100% on Williamson County, Texas we are investing in long-term solutions to our communities' challenges. United, we are stabilizing families, helping students succeed academically, and empowering healthy lives.
More than a fundraiser, we are the hand-raisers and the game-changers. We raise our hand not only to lead the fight, but to reach out to people who need help – and hope. By foraging unlikely partnerships. By seeking new solutions to old problems. By mobilizing the best resources. And by inspiring individuals to join the fight against our community’s most challenging needs.
From rural communities to the seemingly docile suburbs, Williamson County needs your passion, expertise and support to combat the growing social needs of our community. In the last year, tens of thousands of individuals of all ages relied on United Way programs and resources for help.
United Way was there to put food on the table for a struggling family. United Way made it possible for seniors to have a hot, nutritious meal delivered to their home. United Way provided books for preschoolers from low-income neighborhoods and mentors for at-risk students. United Way invested tens of thousands of dollars in mental health counseling for children, individuals and families. United Way was there to help families gain the tools they need to become more financially stable and independent. United Way was there when our friends and neighbors need us the most.
Change doesn’t happen alone. We need more hand-raisers and game-changers to join the fight. We need people who recognize that at the core of every person is a desire to do good. We need people who recognize that there is power that comes from a shared purpose. We need people who understand that we are all stronger when we come together to change the world for the better.
