United Way of Chittenden County is a private non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to uniting the entire community in addressing the human care needs of our community. Our Mission is To build a stronger Chittenden County by mobilizing our community to improve peoples lives. We are committed to doing what matters in the community and to focusing resources on: Promoting Health and Healing Nurturing Children and Youth Caring for Families and Individuals Meeting Basic Needs Fostering Volunteerism. We solve community problems. We asked the community what mattered most to them. Their response was we want successful children strong families and a safety net of community services that meet peoples immediate needs and the underlying causes of those needs. We collaborate with other community organizations partner with other non-profits team with service delivery agencies and join forces with dedicated leaders and others.
